Whether you’re a homeowner or a home dreamer, you’ll find inspiration at the 2025 HomeStyles Home, Renovation and Lifestyle Show, presented March 21 to 23 at Prairieland Park, by the Saskatoon & Region Home Builders’ Association (SRHBA).

First launched in 1980, the HomeStyles Show has connected generations of Saskatchewan residents to the region’s top renovation experts, new home builders, designers, suppliers and service providers.

“HomeStyles is the ideal place to search for trusted professionals who can enhance how you live in your home,” says Carlee Bard, the association’s business development manager.

“The event highlights the importance of working with qualified, reputable renovators and service providers, in particular those SRHBA members who have earned our Certified Professional RenoMark Renovators designation. They are committed to providing superior service and client satisfaction.”

This year’s HomeStyles show is even bigger than last year, says Bard, with close to 350 display booths and 200-plus exhibitors.

“The show is an incredible marketplace where you can explore improvements for every area of your home, inside and out — from new kitchens and bathrooms, to roofing, decks and fences, to whole home and energy efficiency renovations. Wondering about having an electric vehicle charger installed in your garage? You can find out more at HomeStyles.”

A visit to HomeStyles will also inspire ways homeowners can utilize the recently re-introduced Saskatchewan Home Renovation Tax Credit. Under the provincial government program, homeowners can claim a 10.5 per cent tax credit on up to $4,000 of eligible home renovation expenses, to a maximum of $420 annually.

“HomeStyles is an opportunity to explore how you can use the tax credit to best advantage,” Bard says. “To qualify for the tax credit, homeowners have to provide receipts from qualified service providers who have charged the PST and GST on their invoices. You can be confident you have selected a qualified renovator when you go with an SRHBA member.”

At the SaskEnergy booth at HomeStyles, people interested in building an energy-efficient new home can learn more about the Homes Beyond Code rebate program. To qualify, the new home must be constructed to energy efficiency tiers 3, 4 or 5 of section 9.36 of the National Building Code of Canada. The maximum rebate is $9,000 for a Net Zero energy ready home.
